Doepke e.Guard
Less testing effort, greater system availability
Electrical installations must be inspected at regular intervals. In many cases, this requires time-consuming insulation resistance measurements.
The consequences:
- downtime caused by de-nergising the installation
- time and labour costs associated with insulation testing
- costs resulting from production downtime
- de-energisation is not feasible in certain applications (e.g. servers and IT infrastructure)
According to German installation standard DIN VDE 0105-100/A1:2017-06, Clause 5.3.3.101.0.2, periodic insulation resistance testing may be omitted, provided that the following conditions are met:
- A residual current monitoring device in accordance with
DIN EN 62020 (VDE 0663) is installed.
- The residual current monitoring (RCM) system is operating correctly.
- Continuous monitoring is ensured.
The solution: Doepke e.Guard
Doepke e.Guard is an intelligent residual current monitoring system compliant with DIN EN 62020 (VDE 0663) for the continuous monitoring of electrical installations. By using e.Guard, companies can:
- increase system availability
- significantly reduce inspection effort – the qualified electrician only needs to evaluate the automatically collected data
- automatically document the recorded data
- save time and reduce costs
- detect changes in the condition of the installation at an early stage
- gain valuable insights for preventive maintenance
- improve the safety of their installations by enhancing equipment and fire protection in applications where RCCBs cannot be used because of high operational leakage currents
